Every week the pantry has much to do to prepare for our food distributions, so there are always weekday volunteer opportunities available. This includes receiving orders of food from a variety of places, stocking shelves, splitting and bagging items and packing boxes of non-perishable food for the families we serve.
We also need volunteers to join us on our Distribution Days! These fall on the first and third Saturdays of the month, when we serve anywhere from 75 to over 100 families! We need a fairly large crew to do everything from bagging up the perishable foods we offer, to loading cars with the variety of foods we provide.
Due to the nature of the tasks our volunteers are involved in, we ask that all volunteers be 16 years of age or older.
Want to sign up? Here’s how …
